Microbium was established in 2015 with a mission to become the leading provider of innovative and automated solutions for microbiological detection in liquids. We are a member of Technology Park Ljubljana and received a status of research organization. We are combining our background in biotechnology with a passion for Computer Science and Engineering, also by developing firm partnerships with faculties and institutes such as Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FERI), National institute of Chemistry etc. Our research and development activities has been funded by several national and EU tenders. In the past years our focus was to bring Microbium® MPN Analyser to the global market. Microbium® MPN Analyser has been designed to be an automated, easy-to-use device, substituting microbiological laboratories. We set a production of housings and hardware in 2023 at two locations in Slovenia with a capacity of 10.000 devices per year. Currently we are looking for new opportunities in the field of AI digitalisation in biotechnology.

Short content description
We are searching for companies which have limited number of personell and thus need to simplify or digitize processes in quality control or analytics through the use of AI and machine vision software. E.g. tailored made hardware & software for interpretation of results such as colony counts
The programme is co-financed by the Slovenian Enterprise Fund and the European Union, namely from the European Fund for Regional Development. It is carried out on the basis of the Substantial Support of Fund Recipients (SME) programme from 2018 to 2023 within the framework of the Operational Programme for the Implementation of European Cohesion Policy from 2014 to 2020.
