The Immunoassay Center is a Cuban biotechnology industry with more than 35 years of experience. It is a closed-cycle company that includes research, development, production, commercialization and after-sales services. It has professional personnel of the most advanced scientific level and facilities of a high technological and automation level for the development and production of SUMA® technology. As well as, with laboratories, automated workshops and production plants, equipped with high productivity equipment, which allow us to provide the market with very innovative and high quality SUMA® products. SUMA® technology equipment and UMELISA® reagents are the result of the appropriate combination of scientific development and the high level of exploitation of advanced technologies. It has a wide portfolio of products ranging from immunoassays and clinical chemistry reagents, medical equipment and accessories, glucometers and biosensors and the required software that can be consulted on the website www.cie.cu. We are the technological bases of important national health programs such as: the maternal and infant care program, making it possible to screen pregnant women for alpha-fetoprotein, HIV and hepatitis. It guarantees the neonatal screening that diagnoses 6 diseases that if not treated in a timely manner can cause severe irreversible mental retardation and even death. Participates in the Epidemiological Surveillance of HIV, dengue and hepatitis B and C. It also participates in the program for the control of chronic non-transmissible diseases, participating in the diabetes, cancer and chronic kidney disease programs.
