Company`s description

The institution was created in 1969 with the name of Digital Research Center (CID), later Central Digital Research Institute (ICID), in order to develop the first Cuban computer, which ends in 1970. In the mid-1980s, the ICID refocuses its principal activity to the design, development, production and sales of medical devices, including the after-sales service activities for them. In 1995, COMBIOMED was created as a commercial brand and marketing company of ICID. From 2012, ICID and COMBIOMED joined to the BioCubaFarma group, which represents all companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical equipment and devices industry in Cuba. In December 2018, ICID and COMBIOMED merged and the company COMBIOMED DIGITAL MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY, as a closed-cycle companies whose operation covers all stages, from the conception of the product to the technical assistance during the exploitation of the product. Combiomed Digital Medical Technology has inserted a wide variety of medical equipment from five fundamental lines of work: Patient Monitoring and Life Support; Cardiovascular Diagnosis and Rehabilitation; Electrical Stimulation and Rehabilitation; Diagnosis of chronic respiratory diseases and solutions for primary health care. Capnography is the graphical representation of CO2 levels throughout the respiratory cycle. It not only allows us to monitor CO2 levels, but also helps us to identify other types of possible complications during general anaesthesia. Capnometry does only a quantitative analysis, whereas capnography does a quantitative and qualitative analysis. The design of a quantitative main flow (mainstream) capnography transducer will develop the basis for coupling it to multiparametric monitors, defibrillators and other equipment present in the ICU and emergency services.
